This Privacy Policy explains how Power Investor™ ("Power Investor," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services at www.powerinvestor.net (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Power Investor, Inc., doing business as Power Investor ("we"). For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@powerinvestor.net.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive basic profile and email information from that provider.
• Financial and portfolio information you enter: portfolios, holdings, transactions, cost basis, dividends, watchlists, saved screener criteria, saved indicator sets, and any notes you record.
• Billing information: if you purchase a paid plan, your subscription plan and status and limited payment identifiers from our payment processor. We do not store your full payment-card details.
• Investment Journal entries: the free-text rationale, expectations, and risks you write when documenting decisions.
• Usage and device information: log data, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar telemetry collected through analytics and diagnostics tools.
• Cookies: we use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service, and we may use analytics cookies as described in Section 6.

3. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
• To generate the analytics, rankings, health scores, and AI-assisted educational summaries you request.
• To authenticate you, communicate with you about your account, and respond to your requests.
• To monitor and protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. AI processing of your data

When you request an AI feature (for example, the AI Portfolio Review, Daily Briefing, Investment Journal reflection, or an explanation of the technical indicators on a price chart), relevant data is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the response. We send only what is needed to produce the requested output: for the portfolio features, relevant portfolio data and the journal text you submit; for a chart indicator explanation, only the security's symbol and the computed indicator readings, including each indicator's mechanical Bullish, Bearish, or Neutral classification. Please do not enter information you do not wish to be processed this way.

5. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, including:

• Anthropic: AI model processing for the features described above.
• Microsoft Azure: application hosting and database storage.
• Azure Communication Services: sending account emails (confirmation, password reset).
• Market-data provider (Yahoo Finance): retrieving prices, quotes, company/symbol search results, and company fundamental data (financial ratios and income, balance-sheet, and cash-flow statements). When you chart a security, view its fundamentals, or type into the chart search box, the security symbol and the characters you type are sent to this provider to return matching companies, price history, and fundamental data. We do not send your account identifiers, portfolio holdings, or other personal information to this provider.
• A payment processor: processing payments and managing subscriptions for paid plans.
• Google and Microsoft: optional OAuth sign-in, if you use it.
• Azure Application Insights: usage analytics and diagnostics.

We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Power Investor, our users, or others; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Cookies and analytics

Strictly-necessary cookies are required to operate the Service and keep you signed in. We may also use analytics/diagnostics that collect usage data. Where required by law, we will seek consent for non-essential cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for any period required to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. You may delete your data as described below.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can download or delete your personal data from your account settings, or contact us at privacy@powerinvestor.net. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and EU/UK residents (GDPR) have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we process and to request deletion. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. International users

We operate the Service in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
